Dr. Tom has been practicing dentistry in the Waukesha area since 2015 and he purchased Exner Dental from his father in 2018. He graduated from University of Notre Dame in 2007 and completed his D.D.S. at Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Tom spent the first several years of his career practicing in Chicago where he received extensive experience in all areas of general dentistry, including pediatric dentistry and root canal therapy. Following his time in Chicago, Dr. Tom returned to the community he grew up in to work alongside his father, Dr. Exner, and serve the Waukesha and Lake Country area. Expert care and compassion are cornerstones of Dr. Tom’s work and he enjoys providing excellent dentistry to patients in his hometown. In 2023, Dr. Tom was awarded as one of Milwaukee’s Top Dentists and he accepted a position on the Marquette University School of Dentistry Alumni Board. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association and the Waukesha County Dental Society. In his personal life, Dr. Tom enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his wife Allison, their young daughter Annie, and keeping up with the family dog, Ruthie.
Dr. Exner has served the Waukesha, Lake Country, and surrounding communities since he opened his own practice in 1981. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1974, received his M.S. in microbiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1977 and completed his D.D.S. at the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1981. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Waukesha County Dental Society and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Exner has been happily married to his wife, Margaret, for over 40 years and they enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, as well as traveling and fishing.
